Letter of Motivation Lara Saba

Dear miss/ mister,
first of all I would like to thank you for taking the time and interest in reading about myself and my motivation to spend a year abroad.
Please read more about my personal motivation in the following.

As a person I am flexible, cooperative, responsible and I like to laugh. Currently, I am preparing for my \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Abitur\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" in Spring this year at the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Ratsgymnasium\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" in Wolfsburg, Niedersachsen. My main School interests are Music, German and Biology. Privately, I love to read, play the piano and spend time with friends.

In my peronal history, there has been a moment of misfortune which has taught me not to take life and its joys and opportunities for granted. It has also taught me about myself. My mother and I had a traffic accident when I was only three month of age. I have no memories of the incident and I am totally fine - physically and psychlogically. But the head injuries forced a personal experience with doctors upon me which was not always the funnest part of my life.

This misfortune gave me an inner security and a good feeling for my own strength. It has taught me things about myself that I would have not learned at school. I have discovered that I have a strong will and more discipline than I thought. It also taught me about good friendship and the value of such. And it taught me even more to imagine myself into the lives of those who are not as lucky as I have been.

Currently, I am thinking about my plans for life after school. Not an easy task and I am not yet ready to take a decision in terms of choosing a university or even a designated degree I want to pursue. My feeling so far tells me that I would like to do something with a social, humanitary character. At most times, I enjoy being the eldest of three siblings and giving my younger sister (15) and brother (12) guidance and support in many life matters, especially school. To expand my experience beyond my family, I have been giving private lessons to younger kids in many school subjects and I teach the piano to neighborhood kids.

For the upcoming year, I wish for myself to retain and strengthen my ability to put myself into the place of those who do not have my advantages and give something of myself and my capacity for hard work.
